I love the idea of creating a bar space at home. A lot of bar inspiration I came across while trying to create a look turned out being very expensive. Nice bar carts can run you about $200 and a built-in would cost thousands. Instead, I searched for an affordable piece of furniture I could dress up instead!
Organize from Bottom to Top
The mixers and bar accessories (Shaker, mixing spoons, straws) should go at the top of the bar. I also like to include the nicer liquor brands.
Add Some Greenery
If you’re putting your bookshelf bar in an area with good lighting, consider adding a nice mint plant or a cascading Pothos for an extra touch. This shelf happened to get good light so I maximized space by adding my aloe vera plant here too!
Get the Essentials
If the true purpose of the bar is to organize your alcohol, make sure to grab corresponding glasses for your favorite drinks. It really enhances the experience if you’re into craft cocktails or a nice glass of wine.
