Lemon Mint Ice Cubes

Jump to Recipe·Print Recipe

If you follow me on Instagram, you know I LOVE a pretty drink! Give me a nice glass and fruity garnish and I swoon. Adding citrus and herbs in ice cubes is a nice way to jazz up your drink and get a boost of flavor. Adding lemon to water gives it a nice flavor and has health benefits too! Everything from being a good source of Vitamin C, weight loss, and improves the quality of your skin. It even aids digestion!

You can easily add lemon slices in your daily water, but lemon mint ice cubes are a cool and refreshing way to get citrus boost on demand. Making these are super easy and suitable for both water or cocktails! As you drink and the ice cubes melt, you get a really refreshing slow release of flavor!

How to Make Lemon Mint Ice Cubes

Simply cut your lemons into little wedges and chop mint. Then add two or three small wedges per ice cubes and a couple little mint leaves. Try to place lemons up against the sides and bottom of the tray, that way you get a prettier ice cube. Fill with water, and freeze!

Tip: Be sure to wash your mint and lemon first! I like to wash produce in room temperature water and a little vinegar.

For a more aesthetically pleasing look in your water or cocktails, invest in an ice cube tray with square cubes instead of the traditional style. The square cubes look a little fancier!
