For our first big project of 2024, we’re tackling our home office. We’ve lived here a few years now and, I’m embarrassed to say, have only ever used this room as storage. It became a drop zone for everything we didn’t have a place for including old TVs, baby toys, and framed jerseys. I want to reclaim this space! I need a place to center my thoughts and work on my projects!
This is the starting point. Pretty bad right? I’d like to keep this makeover project under $200 which is pretty low when you think about it. The cheapest way to switch up a space fast? Paint!
I wanted a moody green color. Like a forest green. My husband was convinced the color would make the room look too dark. Dark or not, I was set on the vibe. Green, brown, and warm!

Today, I went to the beach with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is entirely off topic but I had to tell someone!
