A little recap of our neutral Baby Shower celebration for our baby boy! Inspiration for planning a baby shower, decor, menu, and two FREE printable downloads for you to use!
Is there anything more exciting than celebrating becoming first-time parents? If you’ve been following me online, you’d know my pregnancy hasn’t always been the easiest. This baby shower was for my husband and me to get a nice reminder of the village and love we are surrounded by.

I can’t take credit for planning the shower. My sisters and best friends took on the planning, invites, and everything in between. But me being the DIY’er I am, had to add my own input and ideas to the decor.
DIY Decor
I knew I wanted a neutral-tone shower. If you check out my inspiration board on Pinterest, you can see the simple theme.
We went to Trader Joe’s for an assortment of light-colored roses, hydrangeas, and mums along with eucalyptus and other greenery. I bought this beautiful low and round vase from Target, and some other tall vases my mother had on hand.
For the drink table, I used my Cricut machine to create these sleek acrylic signs and drink tags for the glasses. This was a nice touch! We used a paint marker to make the carafe tags.
My sister added a cute onesie garland above the fireplace using ribbon and clothes pins. Our toy trunks from when we were kids were overflowing with stuffed animals. The cute baby blocks and teddy bear are both Amazon finds. Lastly, we purchased the affordable balloon garland kit and hung it on the wall.
White tablecloths, chafing dishes, and pictures did the rest. Simple but chic!

The Menu
I’m a brunch girl through and through so that’s what we went with! We wanted to make sure we had a little something for everyone (my sister is vegan and others were on a strict diet) so we have traditional dishes and some veggies thrown in!
- French Toast
- Shrimp N’ Grits
- Frittata
- Bacon
- Avocado Toast
- Breakfast Potatoes
We also had lots of fruit and sweet treats to go around!
Our intimate baby shower at home was such a good time.
I wore a simple cream sweater dress that was comfy enough for my growing belly.
